The History of Washington Media Services

1988 – Joyce Willms starts Washington Media Services with Charlie Kirry. The business started simply to publish the {insert name here}, but soon grew into more.

1988-present – Washington Media Services (WMS) is certified as a Women-Owned Business under the state’s OMWBE program and federal program.

200x – Charlie goes into business for himself. Ownership of the business came to Joyce while Charlie started his own photography business.

2018 – Joyce Willms retired and sold her business to long-time employee Adriane Goodwin (employee since 1996).
